If you have the right tools and know-how, you can bound an adversaries limbs and prevent their movement until unbound. You may also transport them and blindfold them to their whereabouts. They may be released by others, released after a cooldown of no supervision, or break out depending on their strength or agility.
How it works
This is the capture loop. With the right items — rope and a hood, at minimum — you can bind another player's limbs for a window of time, and you can blind them so they don't see where you take them. Bound players cannot move themselves; blindfolded players see only darkness. Either state can be ended early by another player working at the bonds, by the captor releasing them, or by the captured one wearing the timer down — strength and agility shift the math. Hold law treats binding under formal authority (a guard with a writ, a bounty in hand) very differently from binding on the road, so what you can do with these tools is not the same as what you should do under the eyes of the realm.
